LetterBall uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required under the EU ePrivacy Directive, the UK PECR, or comparable laws. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent before setting those cookies.

2. What We Store

• Authentication session (local storage / secure cookie) — keeps you signed in. Strictly necessary. Cleared when you sign out.
• Theme preference (local storage) — remembers light or dark mode.
• Interface state (cookie, e.g. sidebar open or closed) — remembers small layout choices so the app looks the same on your next visit.
• Cached content (local storage) — stores recently viewed games and reviews so pages load quickly. Contains no advertising identifiers.

3. Third-Party Cookies

We do not embed third-party advertising or social tracking scripts. Images and highlight links are loaded from, or point to, providers such as ESPN and Wikimedia Commons; visiting those external sites is governed by their own cookie policies, not ours.

4. Managing Cookies

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the authentication cookie will sign you out and prevent you from posting reviews, comments, or messages.
