1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LetterBall ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (reviews, comments). By posting, you grant LetterBall a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the Service. You are solely responsible for your content and must comply with our Content Guidelines.

4. Prohibited Conduct

• Posting hate speech, racial slurs, or discriminatory content
• Harassing, threatening, or bullying other users
• Spamming or posting repetitive/irrelevant content
• Impersonating other users or public figures
• Attempting to exploit or disrupt the Service
• Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions

5. Content Moderation & Community Safety

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on LetterBall. To keep the community safe we:

• Automatically filter hate speech and slurs from reviews and comments before they are published.
• Provide a report button on every review, comment, and profile.
• Review every report and remove violating content and/or eject the offending user within 24 hours of the report being filed.
• Let any member block another member, which hides that person's content and messages from them.
• Accept moderation and abuse reports at support@letterball.com.

We reserve the right, but assume no obligation, to remove any content that violates these terms or our Content Guidelines. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban. Reviews and comments are the personal opinions of the users who post them and do not represent LetterBall.

6. Intellectual Property & Third-Party Media

NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, and team names, logos, and game data are trademarks of their respective owners. LetterBall is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ESPN, the NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, any professional or collegiate league, conference, team, or player association. All third-party media and data displayed on the Service belong to their respective owners and are used under license or pursuant to applicable terms of service.

Player portraits for soccer and other sports are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia contributors, typically licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Individual attribution for each image is available in our photo credits inventory. Team logos, league marks, and game statistics are provided by ESPN and other sports data providers and remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Highlights, Scores & Outbound Links

LetterBall does not host, stream, embed, or store league or broadcaster video. Where a highlight exists for a play, we display a text description and a link that opens the rights holder's own page (for example ESPN) in a new tab. Scores, play descriptions, and statistics are factual information reported by third-party providers and are shown for commentary and identification purposes only. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness, and nothing on the Service should be relied on for wagering, fantasy, financial, or other decisions.

8. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@letterball.com including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) the URL of the material; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We remove or disable infringing material promptly and terminate repeat infringers. Counter-notices may be sent to the same address.

9. No Fees, No Purchases, No Refunds

LetterBall is currently provided free of charge. We do not sell products, subscriptions, or digital goods through the Service, so no refund policy applies. If we introduce paid features, we will publish pricing, cancellation, and refund terms before you are asked to pay.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account by contacting support.

11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Game data accuracy is not guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LetterBall and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LetterBall and its operators from claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising out of content you post or your misuse of the Service.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
